ANOTHER MEMORY GONE...

James Mitchell, the actor that played Palmer Cortland on the ABC Soap All My Children has passed away. He was 89 years old. Mitchell died of pneumonia contracted after a years-long battle with pulmonary disease, according to a statement released by ABC.


Mitchell died on January 22, 2010, in Los Angeles, and that was only a matter of weeks before what would have been his 90th birthday.

three decades played gruff patriarch Palmer Cortland 
on the ABC soap opera "All My Children," has died,

James Mitchell has been a teacher, choreographer, director, and of course, wonderful actor. He has always been an ardent supporter of many dance companies and theater companies. Long considered the heart of All My Children by his colleagues there, he remains the benevolent connective between then and now.


I haven't been able to watch 'All My Children' for years...I've had to work.
But I remember watching it when my kids were young, and who could ever forget 'Palmer' Every show needs the 'Bad Guy' and he played him well.

Some shows just aren't the same when someone this involved isn't there anymore....
