LOVEABLE QUIRKY PEEPS

THOUGHTS ON LOVE...

I posted yesterday about wishing I was *In Love* again..
And if you took a look over on Change in a Bottle you saw my answer.
We all know there are different kinds of love.
Mine the last 3 days have been a bottle of cough suppressant, Tylenol, a jar of good ol Mentholatum and sleep..
And knowing that 'This too shall pass'..
kinda like that tingle of being in love.

So, without going into all the old TV shows,
which will be a fun post someday, I saw this.....
And thought of the phrase "TO THE MOON ALICE"
Anyone who remembers Ralph Kramden and his wife Alice will smile at this. He used that phrase when he was upset with her. But no matter, he still loved her and the show always ended with them hugging.

Which brings up the point that even though the tingle may not be there as before, the love still is. And it warmed my heart when some of your comments told of still feeling *twitterpated*, loving the one you're with, using the words honey and best friend, and even tingly hands and snoring.

So here's to all of you who are still in love, in whatever form. I envy that. But also know if it's God's will, someone may still be out there for me. I just won't dwell on it...

And this coming Valentine's Day, I'll still go stick a Valentine in the door of certain people, knock, then sneak around the corner and smile. Yes, I still do that...
Headache or not.

Oh, and here's to Ralph and Alice....

And the moon. And Love. And you (O:

Ok, back to bed for me.

Thanks for stopping by again.
And if you clink on the link above,
you'll see another idea of love.

Ha, that even rhymed!

Oh, loved so much about this post that it's hard to comment on it all. :) The Honeymooners is one of my all-time favorites--thanks for reminding me that I really should finally buy the dvd.

And too, I'm so glad you still enjoy Valentine's Day and the way you leave them in the doors of friends. That is so great! I mostly think of Valentine's Day as a day for friends even though I'm married. Valentines are just so sweet, or something, and bring back memories of school days and friendship.

Thanks so much for your comments at my blog! I greatly appreciate them. I'm glad you liked our farm, too. There is so much work left to still do and I need to be reminded that to appreciate it in the unfinished state, also. :) Blessings, Debra

Gosh, so sorry to hear you are under the weather. Ginger tea, my friend. Ralph and Alice. Gosh, what a pair, huh? Those were the days when a comedy was worth watching. I'm in love with the thought of Valentine's Day. I have a stuffed heart hubby bought me 18 years ago. I'll never part with it.

certainly find YOU again, but probably when you

How strange getting a comment from you today when on the way home from work I was thinking that I needed to visit your post.
After I got here and found it about this I was quiet taken back and so glad I came by.
We both have so much in common it is scary. lol
Yes one day that special person will walk or run into your life so just keep your arms open wide.
and be ready.
Love
Maggie

I hope you feel better soon! And that you get a chance to rest, it really helps to get enough sleep.
Greetings (still) from Germany, where I am stuck one day longer due to a storm....

Absolutely when you least expect it..."love" will be sitting there minding his own business and you and he will start a conversation..about nothing..and from there romance will bloom. Just like that !

My daughter who is almost 48 now
(never married) but as cute as Meg Ryan...has dated a lot of men over the years, became engaged to the most seriously WRONG man she could have ever been engaged too.
And after she broke up with him...she just KNEW she was THROUGH, DONE, OVER WITH MEN FOREVER.........and then about 18 months later...she was stading at the counter paying her bill at a restaurant..and behind her stood
" MR.RIGHT"...waiting patiently her credit card to clear..and it was not "going thru" for some reason...and while they waited for it to finally "clear".. ..she and he started talking.
She had to get back to work as she was already running a bit late. (She was on her lunch hour)....and for a reason whe will never know...SHE ASKED HIM for HIS phone number...
( first time she had EVER done that she told me ) ...but waited 3 days to call him...but once that happened...the rest is history. He lived out of State it turned out...so the romance was a long distance one at first....but they are MADDLY in love and are into their third year of a very caring realationship.

However, both having been badly hurt by love, are not in any hurry to marry..( he had been married before with grown children )
But they are BOTH content with the arrangement they have now.
I have never seen her so happy in my whole life.
