Hee,heeee.... Don't anyone laugh. My husband pierced my ears, and our daughter's.
Ice cube to numb and big needle through. Put beginning posts in and I keep turning them on occassion. And kept putting anti-biotic cream on. Wasn't too bad. :-)
And no P.J., he wasn't a sick, twisted bastard. ,-) We wanted him to do it. -giggggggggggggggles- Honest. He'd never hurt us, on purpose. He was just not afraid of something like a medical proceedure. I could never do it!
Aren't you glad you aren't as old as I am???????????????

Ouch!!
I remember when I had my ears pierced. We didn't use a string but we did use a cork and a knitting needle.

"here my dear, let me pierce your ears - if it doesn't work, I'll just stitch up the hole............ooops!"
Growing up a friend of mine actually had her sister use this method on her. Ouch is right.

Ouch!!!! And I thought the icecube and the needle was barbaric. :)
I know people who had it done with ice and a needle.
Sick, twisted bastards...
