*Well Jenny, You've really challenged us this week. Glad to know the groans reached all the way to Arizona...
But whattheheck......bring it on!*
I'm participating in Saturday Centus,
hosted by JENNY MATLOCK Visit her to see how others formed a short story from this weeks prompt...which is in blue.
I'm again collaborating with PJ over at Seens From The Backs Of My Eyelids.
to write a six chapter story. Visit us to see what we do...
Hot as Hades, slimy sultry, and just plain evil. That's the only way to describe today's fickle personality.
Tom's gone on another business trip for the week, Jenny's off doing her own thing and I'm wallowing in the sweet taste of time for myself.
Maybe I should finish redecorating that extra room. I've put it off so long the cobwebs and dust bunnies are doing the Lindy Hop across the ceiling.
Maybe I should answer some letters.
Maybe I'll sit for awhile and read that book Helen said was so good. Let's see, oh yes, back to the road trip...
"Driving six hours is a long time on the road. Six hours spent singing car-aoke and taking in the picturesque scenery, but mostly reminiscing about the good times. But those days were long gone and my mind was in a different place now. Or was it? My pulse quickened as I passed the road sign which read "Medford 27 miles."

This was great how you put the prompt as reading a book. Very clever. Loved the reference to the Lindy Hop too, ha. This will be quite the challenge for you and PJ.
Like how you started this. Gives PJ so many places to go.
I really like this one. I felt as if I was there with your thoughts!
Clever take on a difficult prompt...well done ;-) peace
LOL! I complained about the prompt as well and decided to write a story around that. I liked your clever writing!
How nice being left alone with time to kill! I wonder what trouble you will get into? Hmmmm.

Anxious to read the rest of the story!
LOL! Great job, Vicki! I knew you would find a way to make the prompt work for you! You are so creative! I Look forward to seeing where PJ takes this!
Thank you, Jake! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Very, very clever! This should be really interesting. Can't wait to see where this story takes us. Kat
Awesomely clever, Vicki! Gonna go see what PJ wrote. You guys are an awesome team!
Vicki, it's so hot here in Colorado I cannot imagine what it's like in Arizona. I can relate to the dust bunnies - just add in Golden Retriever hair and you've got a complete picture.

Brilliant take on this as ever....
Fun, fun, fun start to the story!
