LOVEABLE QUIRKY PEEPS

FROM THE DORM...

Here it is Tuesday already...and I still haven't lost it...(the key)

How did I spend my 3 day weekend? Same as I spent the prior week...cleaning.

Only it was at my dad's house. The stepmom is in the Care Center since a week ago. She thinks she's been there a month now and only has two more to go, then she can come home.
Sad, sad thing this ugly disease...

But this story has a different twist to it. Most people with Alzheimer's are basically good, sweet and *normal* before it hits, then get mean and ornery. Not Wanda....
I've never known her to be so nice, sweet and humble. It's just the opposite in her case.

Ok, more cleaning needed at dad's...lots more. All I can say is I've seen what multiple generations of dust bunnies look like....they are not cute :(

But hey, it's been nice and balmy (in the desert??), ok, more like overcast, it's getting closer to August when I may be in housing and I got a great shot through the window just about sundown.

Ok, maybe great wasn't the word to use.

But life is good as it should be right now.

See ya Yesterday...

I can't even imagine how tired you must be after all that work, Jake! I know what generations of dustballs look like and it ain't pretty or healthy. You're dad is so blessed to have you. Wanda too. Imagine, if you hadn't moved there, none of these things would have transpired.

You're a peach!

Hi dear friend.....first off, thanks for the cute joke. It make me smile. Secondly, for some reason you post has been translated in Afrikaans today, and I cannot get it to change to English. Oh well, you never know what Blogger has in store for us. (O:(O:

Hopefully, all is going well with you. Have a wonderful day.

Well, I'm glad it's in plain old English (see above comment) and I think the sunset photo is really nice - soft and warm looking.

Your step-Mom's journey sounds like a scary one for sure but so wonderful that you are there to help..good for you..now, with that said..take care of YOU, ok??

Life in the dorm sounds like it sucks? And you are a sweetheart which isn't always easy to be. You hang in there because it will all be worth it in the end. Love to ya kid! Pearl

Oh Vicki I am sorry you are having to deal with all of this stuff...too much stuff for one person.
Your family is blessed to have you, I hope you know that.
Wanda is now nice? Do you see the irony in this? Now she does not even know she is nice....I could not imagine.
take care,
suz
