LOVEABLE QUIRKY PEEPS

REMEMBERING LIZ...

Do you remember when you were a kid and heard your mom talking about the 'MOVIE STARS' in HOLLYWOOD? Seems mine was always talking about a certain one; her favorite by far.

Tiny waist,

cleavage,

sultry voice.

Red lips and long black eyelashes.

But most of all she talked about her Violet eyes.

I always wondered what violet eyes looked like.

Everything was black and white on the TV then...

Even her name sounded sensual....

LIZ

My mom adored LIZ TAYLOR.

And although she had quite a life, full of every emotion you can think of including Love, Hate, Passion, Rage, Tears...and not only on screen; Liz held her head higher than anyone who thought they could look down on her. She definitely lived life OUT LOUD.

I'll be talking to mom on her weekly Thursday call.

I know what her first words will be after she tells me LIZ TAYLOR died....

" SHE'S ONLY TWO YEARS OLDER THAN I AM"

Mom always said that too...

GOOD BYE LIZ...
Now you know what it's all about....

See ya Yesterday...One Tomorrow at a Time...

I was so shocked when I heard the news this morning. She was such a beautiful woman. May she rest in peace.

In my mind, she was the last of the true Hollywood stars...no one left from our very early years..how sad for us all. God's speed, Elizabeth..we won't forget you...

She was 3 years younger than my mom. I was surprised, ha. I remember when we went to my grandma's house, she used to have what they used to call "scandal" magazines" like True Confessions etc. Compared to what they have now they were pretty tame but I remember she was always in them. We are more and more coming to where all the older actors/actresses will be gone.

Liz was indeed a beauty, but I thought our moms were beauties too. Especially when they got all dolled up to go out on the town.
Remember the nut doesn't fall very far from the tree. I'm just sayin.

She and my mom were the same age...both classy broads.

Goodness knows, Liz did a lot of GREAT work, raising money for AIDS research.
