LOVEABLE QUIRKY PEEPS

4/7/11

ALL THE DRAMA....

The National Zoo would close, but the lions and tigers would get fed; Yellowstone and other national parks would shut down. The Internal Revenue Service could stop issuing refund checks. Customs and Border Patrol agents training officials in Afghanistan might have to come home. And thousands of government-issued BlackBerrys would go silent.

And I would have an extra day or two (?) of rest...

Being employed by the Federal Government, we were told on Tuesday to expect being FURLOUGHED.

Then if it doesn't happen....

Of course, it also means no pay.

But amid all the drama, we know they'll *fix* things.

Too bad they can't fix the winter storm coming this way.

Hmmmm...

Carry on :)

I've got an idea Harriet.

You can come and make my bed, clean my sink, vacuumn my floors, shine my frogs and polish my spoons. I'd even let you shop and cook me dinner. FURLOUGHED, what's that?

They'll get it done in time, so that they won't be embarrassed when things go on just fine without them.

Sorry, no break for you!
