OK, WE'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE...
HEADING TO OVER $4, POSSIBLY $5 A GALLON
SOME PEOPLE TRADED IN THEIR BIG SUV'S
SOME PEOPLE BOUGHT THE PLUG IN'S :)
SOME EVEN STARTED USING MASS TRANSIT
OR RIDING A BIKE
SOME DROVE A LITTLE SLOWER
OR JUST DIDN'T GO SO MANY PLACES
NOT EVEN ON VACATION
AND EVERYONE CUSSED WHOEVER WAS RESPONSIBLE...
THEN PRICES WENT DOWN...
DID WE KEEP DRIVING SLOWER ?
TAKING THE BUS, TRAIN OR CARPOOLING ?
DID WE KEEP BUYING SMALLER CARS ?
STAYING HOME ?
STOP CUSSING ABOUT IT ??
NAW......
WE SCOOPED UP THEM GAS GUZZLERS
CAUSE THE PRICES CAME DOWN SO LOW
WE GRABBED THE CHEAP FLIGHTS
AND SPLURGED ON THAT DREAM VACATION
WE HUNG THE BIKES BACK UP ON THE RAFTERS
AND IF THE SPEED LIMIT SIGN SAID 75
WE SMILED AS THE NEEDLE HIT 85
AND STILL CUSSED
I LIKE MAXINE'S IDEA
CAUSE I DECIDED THIS TIME,
I'M GONNA DRIVE A LITTLE SMARTER
GOT A NEW . TO . ME CAR THE OTHER DAY:)
2010 HYUNDAI ELANTRA
35 TO 40 mpg HIGHWAY
SMALLER GAS TANK
AND THAT 100 THOUSAND MILE WARRANTY
STILL HAVE OVER 70 THOUSAND TO GO :)
AND SINCE MY SON IS SERVICE MANAGER...
I DIDN'T GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY :)
IT'S ALSO THE FIRST WHITE CAR
I'VE EVER OWNED
REALLY....
still can't load pics on here but you can google one...
SO, WHAT YOU DRIVIN ?
Don't try to be someone else
everybody's already taken:)

Congrats on the new better for the world car!!!
Do you know that the Coach and I both drive white vehicles...and we have for the last 15 years. ALWAYS white.
I went from a big SUV to a small-er-ish crossover Buick this last year. Still can't get any smaller than that....not yet anyway.
Congratulations on the new-to-you car! That's great!
I am driving a Toyota Corolla. In mint green. It was new to me too, 4 years ago.
And I just don't look at gas prices anymore. And, btw, here in NJ prices are still below $4....
(and they put it in our tank)
I've been driving 4-cylinder cars since 1989, doing my part saving energy.
We keep driving Hondas, which we feel are good on gas. But this particular one, he doesn't feel it's as good as he figured it would be. Soooooooo...
But being "olden," and not going very far or traveling any more, we never use much gas.

Maxine's is pretty wise!
Congrats on your new car!

Congratulations on the car.
However, a smaller gas tank just means you have to go the gas station more often. I'm just sayin!!!!!
As you know we have CATIZ which is 16 years old and sounds like a tank. Gets good mileage from my house around three blocks to the office and back.
Also, we have PAWPAW, an 11 year old Toyota which is still in grand condition and gets good gas mileage.
The best car we had was an Audi 4000 that had a diesel engine. The only problem was the fuel tank got a hole in it and the diesel soaked into the back seat. Smelled like a truck driver after driving it.
Love you tooooooooooo.
Man gas prices.... & I hate when people say we pay more for water cause I hate paying for that too! LOL....
I drive a Geo Prism, gets pretty great mileage & I rarely drive so I guess I can't complain too much.
Thanks for commenting on my stuff & I'm very rarely serious... love to laugh & I did catch the little pics on your blogs that speak to me & my inner voices:-)
Sunday, got gas for $3.52.9. Yikes!!
Today, same gas is $3.65.9!! The oil companies are making record profits. I'm buyin' a horse! This is the wild west, you know!
YAY for the new car!!!
I love that first photo...said the owner of two gas guzzling SUVs. Oy.
Nice car I have a 2004 Mazda and I love it, but I need a SUV now since I hall stuff all the time.
