Ok, here's the scoop. I've been blogging with a gal for awhile and we talked about meeting up for lunch sometime since we're not so far from each other. Maybe you know her...
Crazy Daze and Night Dreams aka DAZEE
And she's a hoot, both on her blog and for real :)
We decided a few days ago that a weekend would work for us both, and the sooner the better. I wasn't sure which one but...
well, let me share some of Saturday morning's email ....
DAZEE:
Call me a wuss, but I hate driving in unpredictable icky weather. Can we make it another Saturday?
ME:
WUSSIE WUSSIE WUSSIE
Okfine, You're off the hook this week. I understand...somewhat. But that's cause I've lived in the mtns most of my life and flip the finger at snow:) I won't be here next weekend and the one after is Turkey time, so we'll just figure out another day, no biggie. Now go find your blankie, stick your thumb in your pouty lil mouth and wait for summer:)
DAZEE:
Well then tell me how bad is the weather on the side of the mountain. You are a big meanie. It's on like donkey kong sister. We are going to meet today whether you want to or not. Now tell me where you want to meet, a time, and bring your weapon of choice!
But WTH, it was sunny here on the desert.
So, we met in Tooele, which is about halfway, at Applebees
First thing I noticed was we drive the same make of car...ok, her's is an SUV. And that neither of us wore a coat. Even the guy who seated us commented on that. Wuss....
We lucked out and got a cute little waitress who's originally from California...Lizzie
So we talked and ordered lunch and talked and talked and talked. We have way lots in common. I was surprised. Guess I'm not the only weird one:) And why didn't we get pictures of our lunch? It was yummy spinach dip and a pasta dish and we both took most of that home. But, we did get some dessert. Ya, we couldn't resist... but we shared it, this is from my side...
Looks like a mutant snowman with no arms. Or buttons, or face....but see the tie? Hmmm, might be a Sailor snowman.....with a dirty cap...
Looks more
And she likes to take pictures more than me.
I'm always too busy yackin...
I thought I'd better archive the remains:)
And yes, I GOT THE LAST BITE OF ICE CREAM....woot woot:)
And of course, we split the ticket....
And....
She's soooo into that camera !!
We finally got someone else to take our picture, and we had to have Lizzie with us:)
I felt the need for a whole bench seat to myself, Lizzie is smiling big and Dazee is showing some cleavage.... What more fun could new blog friends have for a first time!
Oh, and before I go, here's a picture of the icky weather out the window at Applebee's. If ya look really really close, ya might see a little flake......
And proof that I DIDN'T wear flip flops!
MWAHAHAHAAAA:)
You might want to go visit DAZEE's post on this. I'm sure she'll have a different take on it, probably tell you she couldn't wait to get away from such a dingbat ....
btw, my weapon of choice was a big hug when we met...
And in her defense, she did hit some stormyness from her side of the mountain. That's her story and she's stickin to it :)
So, how was your weekend?
Carry On...

Hey, I did see the little flake. And I heart her. :)
You are so funny....bullying is not to be tolerated though. I can't believe you made her drive in bad weather. I am going to call someone, but I don't know who yet? Your Mom?????
Lunch sounds great and the dessert looks even better.
I love splitting checks...but I never did it like that!!
