AWWW, do you remember that song?
Well, I thought of it last night when I was standing alone outside on my patio, a little before midnight on New Years Eve, trying to get a picture of the *Blue Moon of 2009*
But first I want to wish you all a Fun and Happy First Day of 2010!
(that's easier to push on the # key pad than 2009 was..hehe)
Anyway, back to last night....
Ya, there I was holding onto one of the corner posts, leaning as far out as I could without falling into the almost 3 feet of snow in the back yard, trying to hold the camera with the free hand and click one at the moon! AND I DID IT!! Woot Woot!
Well, as best as I could with my little 10-megapixel camera, and I think I did ok. Course. with a little help from Picasa and it's color temp mode...it looks BLUE...
So, waddyathink? Kinda pretty, huh....
I was just lucky that the cloud cover had moved enough to let me see it. When I looked at the screen on the camera, I could see the clouds in the glow of the moon but dang, they didn't show up on the picture... I'm sure someone with a great camera got it all.
Anyway, here's my little part of the last few moments of 2009. If by some chance I'm still around in 2029 when the Blue Moon shows up on New Years Eve again, and I'm still blogging...I'll share that one too!
Did you get to see it?

Tooooootally, fabbbbbbbbbulously cool!!! WooT!!!
I don't have Picasa but my iPhoto program which comes with my iMac Leopard update, has a color temp mode. Never thought of making a blue moon! You are so clever.
And yes, I remember "Bluuuuuue Mooooon"! -cue some music, please-
As to seeing the clouds, faintly, at the time... But not in your pic... Have you played with your [I think it's] Contrast thing, with pics? I find that it "lightens" a photo. Betcha if you did that, the clouds would "appear." It's a thought, next time you take a photo. Play with Contrast, if that's what it is?
Guess we have to play with all the "doooo-hickies" we have, in Photo Programs. ,-)
