And I don't think it's just cause of the larger number on a certain day once a year.
A story....
At the tender age of ummm....22, lumbering around the kitchen, seven months into my third bun-in-the-oven... I was making some bread. Ok, I put some of that good Rhodes Bake and Serve frozen loaves in some greased loaf pans and set them on the counter to rise. Ya, that was an accomplishment for me :)
I went about doing housewifey/mommie stuff for awhile, then decided I better go put them in the oven. The one that heats up, not the one the bun was in....follow that? Course...oh nevermind.
Set the timer so I wouldn't burn them....and went about doing more stuff. Surely didn't want to miss the next episode of 'As The World Turns' or was it 'Days of Our Lives'? No, wait! It was 'General Hospital'..ya, good ol Luke and Laura :)
Where was I......Oh ya, the homemade bread.
(I was at home ya know)
So the dinger dinged, I went to the kitchen, put the mitt things on my hands, went to the oven, opened the door and....
Nothing. No bread. Not even that comfy smell of it cooking. Only the heat smacking me in the face. And me staring into an empty oven and saying out loud...
WHATTHEHECK!
My two little ones, ages 5 and 2 came to see what was going on. No, they didn't take them. No, they don't see them anywhere either. The 2 year old went to find some mischief, but Kevin helped me look....
On the counter, on the table, under the table (?), under a dish towel, behind the blender, in the fridge....
Huh? in the fridge Kevin?
Yep, that's where he found them.....
So, why did I tell this story today?
Cause I saw this quote....
It's Not What You Gather, But What You Scatter That Tells What Kind Of Life You Have Lived .....author unknown
And it made me smile :)
Carry On...

I resemble that! Right down to the Luke and Laura....minus the kids.
To this day, I put things for the microwave into the refrigerator. Hmmmmmm.....
I hate when stuff like that happens. I find things all the time in strange places. Now I just blame it on my age when I was younger I really didn't have a good excuse lol.
I LOVE that quote!
This story is so funny....you are the cutest scatterbrain I know!!!!
ps. I found car keys in the fridge before. fo'rizzle.
Oh sweet Jake....love that quote and loved your story. I think we have all suffered from MAJOR BRAIN FADES from time to time.
