AUNT LOUISE...
I'm going to fast forward a couple of generations here. I'll be gone for the weekend again and away from the computer.
I've shared about my Aunt Louise the last couple of weeks and appreciate all the love that came from you to warm my heart. You're like a big hug from all over the world...
If you've followed the Canute and Sarah stories, you'll have read the last post about Peter and Louise. I'm going to skip ahead a bit and tell you their first daughter was named Florence. She was my Grandma. Her first daughter was named after her grandma, Peter's wife Louise. And she's the sweet Aunt who died on Mother's day a couple of weeks ago...
I have cherished memories of Aunt Louise, especially spending the last two days of her life holding her hand and hearing her voice. She made us laugh up until the time she took her final nap and got her wish. Knowing she's having such an awesome reunion in Heaven makes me smile.
I'll tell more about Peter and Louise, then on down to the others soon. I just wanted to post this for the weekend. I'll have more about Aunt Louise someday also. She was someone who loved everyone she met, and they loved her back.
She taught me the true meaning of love...
Below is a link to the video played at her service. She had three children who you will see and also her daughter in law who helped take such good care of her the past four years. The little ones at the end are some of her great great grand kids.
You may even see a familiar face....

THOUGHTS ON A THURSDAY...
I know what my problem is....I think too much!
About things I want to tell on here, things that are best left untold,
and well...just things.
At work I think of what I'll post, so many different ideas,
So many places to start....All jumbled up so much that I have
a blank mind sometimes when I get here.
Hmmmm......
So I think I'll let some of you decide that for me.
I'm going to create a few topics and then see who comments,
and what topic you want to hear first,
A Democratic kind of 'Majority Rules'
This is just a start of what to tell...
And I'm thinking I'll go back a few generations,
just to give you an idea of who I came from.
Then let you wonder, along with others,
how I've become who I am...
Ok, here's the choices for now....
1) Gr. Grama Annie coming from Holland across the ocean with 9 kids....and another one on the way...and how many more she had!
2) Gr. Gr. Grands getting married while crossing the plains in a covered wagon...And his other wives...
3) Another Gr. Gr. Grampa walking across the plains with one hand on a cart and the other one on his stomach...sick all the way. And how he met Gr. Grama...
4) Grama was a Belly Dancer...
5) Grampa was a convict...
6) Another Grampa taught and composed music, wrote plays, sang with a famous Choir and worked in a Temple...
7) Dad worked in Law Enforcement...
8) Mom was a Biker...
And that's just a start....
After this, I won't write about things in chronological order,
just whatever is the strongest thoughts at the time...
So let me know what you want to hear first...
and we'll see which one gets the most votes.
I"ll keep this post on until Friday
to give everyone who wants to....a vote
And thanks again for being here.
See you again Yesterday.........

FAMILY IS....
This may seem like a strange picture to post.
It's along the driveway of my cousin's house and I took the picture so when I got back home I can be reminded that there really is somewhere not infested with DANG GRASSHOPPERS!!
I know, that was a long sentence..
Ok, now to post what I want to share.........
another life story. I'll try to keep it short (yeah, right).
My Mother was raised in an Orphanage. And without going into all of it now, needless to say, she didn't know much of her family. That's for another post anyway....
But she and her sister kept in contact with an Uncle, a brother to their mom. I remember meeting him and his family once at my Aunts house when I was a kid. And his name was mentioned quite a lot in their conversations.
So fast forward years later. I'm home one night and the phone rings. A female voice asks me if I'm who I am and I ask why. Now this was in the good old Telecommunication times when they just bugged the hell out of everyone! So I was a little annoyed. She then tells me her name and I proceed to tell her I'm not interested in whatever she's selling. There's a little hesitation before I start to hang up, then she says maybe she should start over and explain who she is and why she's calling. Then she says the last name of my mothers family and all I could do was start to tear up. How awesome that someone has searched enough to find me!
So after quite a long conversation then, and many more to come, we finally meet for lunch. She only lives about 60 miles from me. We've met for lunch, talked on the phone and even shared some family history since then. It's only been about 6 short years since I first heard from Diana and what a blessing in my life she has been. And how ironic that she is the Grand Daughter of the Uncle my mom and aunt knew. So that actually makes our mothers first cousins and we're whatever comes next...
Another special thing I want to share about Diana. Her and Jack have wanted a family. But after too many heartaches and 3 top notch doctors, they were told she could never carry a child full term. So Diana, being a strong woman, excepted their findings and said she'd think about other options......
Diana called and told me she was going to have a baby but was holding her breath before she got too excited. I knew she'd been there before and well, too many heartaches later here she was again. Well, 3 years ago next month, she gave birth to their very special little angel , Little Miss G. What a Sweetheart she is and what very thankful and loving parents God sent her to. You can see a few pictures of her on my other blog.
Just remember, when you make plans God sometimes giggles....
Hope that was short enough. (o:
Till another day...
